NAME OF DECEASED & AGE: Frederick Speckman, attained the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 7 days.
DATE OF DEATH: He fell asleep in the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Speckman near Hinton on Saturday morning.
DATE OF BIRTH: November 24, 1847
PLACE OF BIRTH: Lotteen, New Stettin, Pomerania, Germany
PARENTS: …were the sainted Christopher Speckman and Wilhelmina nee Roeglin.
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 1st MARRIAGE: Bertha Warner, January 6, 1882, Joliet, Ill.
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE: ---
OCCUPATION: In 1875 Mr. Speckman emigrated to America, soon finding his home in Joliet, Ill. Since 1920 Mr. Speckman resided in Plymouth County, making his home at different times with his two sons, Fred and Frank, and a daughter, Mrs. John Muecke.
MEMBER OF: …the Lutheran faith
SURVIVORS:...one daughter, Mrs. John Muecke of Hinton; three sons, Fred of Hinton, Frank of Leeds, Herman of Kankakee, Ill.; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …loss of his wife in 1915 and the grim reaper also took his son, William in 1918
PLACE OF BURIAL: Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, near Hinton, IA
