MRS. LESTER SITZMAN

Mrs. Lester A. Sitzman, 68, 2813 Clark St., Sioux City, died Friday night (May 27, 1977) at her residence.

Mrs. Sitzman, a Plymouth County native, had not been ill and her death was unexpected.

Mrs. Sitzman, the former Rita E. Ruhland, was born Feb. 16, 1909 in Plymouth County’s Lincoln Township. She was married March 3, 1930 in Neptune, and lived in the LeMars area prior to going to Sioux City in 1941.

Her parents were the late Nerbert and Christine Neyens Ruhland.

She worked for the Sioux City school system for six years until her retirement in 1975 and was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic church and Altar Society.

Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael’s church with Rev. Nicholas Ruba officiating. The rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at Meyer Bros. Colonial Chapel.

Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Neptune.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Guy, Rodney, Steven and Craig Sitzman, and _ob and Randy Stabe.

Survivors are her husband; three sons, Gary, at home, Floyd of Sioux City and David of Lawton; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Stabe of Hinton; one brother, Virgil of Hinton; three sisters, Mrs. Alvina Sitzman of Sioux City, Gertrude Ruhland, and Mrs. Mary Meister, both of LeMars; 17 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
