NAME OF DECEASED & AGE: Mrs. Johanna Stabe, wife of John Stabe, pioneer settlers of this community, aged 83 years, 8 months, and 3 days
DATE OF DEATH: Saturday afternoon, Dec. 21, 1929
PLACE OF DEATH: Sacred Heart Hospital, LeMars, IA
CAUSE OF DEATH: Death followed an operation that was successful, but her advanced age made it more complicated.

OCCUPATION: Fifty-seven years ago she came to this country and shortly upon her arrival here, settled on a farm in Lincoln township, where Mr. and Mrs. Stabe farmed for many years. They endured the hardships that were thrust upon the early pioneers and retired from the farm 19 years ago, when they moved to LeMars.
MEMBER OF: St. John’s Lutheran Church
SURVIVORS: …include her husband; a son and daughter who lived in Oklahoma and another son who lives in Lincoln Township.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: Four boys and three girls preceded their mother in death.
