FALL PROVES FATAL

A fall, at her home last Thursday morning, in which she suffered a fractured hip, caused the death of Mrs. Krier, 73 years of age, 2011 George Street, Sioux City.

Mrs. Krier arose Thursday and while crossing the room slipped and fell. She was taken to the hospital and the fracture to her hip was attended to by a physician but she failed to regain strength and passed away Saturday afternoon.

The deceased had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. John Luksan, at Sioux City.

The deceased was born in Grant County, Wisconsin, 1856. She lived in Wisconsin until 1882, when she moved to Iowa, and went to Sioux City five years ago to reside, after the death of her husband.

She was a member of the Cathedral Epiphany.

Surviving are four sons: Peter, of Hendricks, Minn.; Joseph of Tyler, Minn.; Alvin, of Merrill, Iowa; and Mat, of Sioux City; six daughters, Mrs. Luksan, Mrs. A.A. Tritz, and Mrs. J. Tritz, all of Sioux City; Mrs. Max Kowaliski, of Tyler, Minn.; Mrs. Arthur Reid, of Lake Crystal, Minn.; and Mrs. Albert Riediger, of Hinton, Iowa; four brothers and one sister: Peter, and A.J. Casper, of Hinton, Iowa; John Casper, of Leeds; and Fred Capser, of Big Stone, S.D.; and Mrs. Margaret Bishop, of Dubuque, Iowa.

Reguiem Mass was held at the Cathedral of Epiphany at 8:30 Monday morning, Rev. Father McGuire, officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery at LeMars, beside her beloved husband.
