EARL KOUNKEL DIES AT SEATTLE, WASH.

Funeral services for Earl J. Kounkel, 48, a former Plymouth County resident, who died Thursday, Sept. 28, at Seattle, Wash., was held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Kounkel in Leeds and at 2:00 at Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. E.C. Zschoche officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Kounkel was born July 12, 1904, in Plymouth County where he grew to adult age. He resided in Sioux City for 15 years before going to Seattle in 1941.

Survivors include his wife, Marie; a daughter, Sharon; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Kounkel; and four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Betsworth and Mrs. Caroline Caldwell, both of Sioux City, Mrs. Gertie Krause and Mrs. Mabel Dixon, both of Hinton.
