Florence Hazel Moss, 88, of Sioux City died Sunday, July 21, 2002.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tri-State Christian Church in South Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Moss was born July 29, 1913, in Akron, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Florence (Waterbury) Sprenger. She was raised in Akron and graduated from high school there.

She married Marvin Moss on April 9, 1937, in Elk Point, S.D. They made their home in Sioux City, where she was a homemaker. Marvin died Oct. 24, 1992.

She was a charter member of Tri-State Christian Church. Her hobbies included embroidery work, crosswords and reading her Bible.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Norvin and Gerri Moss of Rochelle, Ill; a daughter and her husband, Karen and Floyd Baber of Sergeant Bluff; two sisters, Helen Klemme of Akron, and Ida Stone of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Kathie and her husband, Tim Pemberton, Sandy and her husband, Will Heelan, Randy and his wife, Dianna Moss, and Kim Baber; and eight great-grandchildren, J.R., Tiffany, Kenny, Angelena, Randall, Alisha, Ashley and Damon.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Louis Sprenger Jr.
