Helen Moser, 77, of Sioux City, formerly of Kingsley, Iowa, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 at Countryside Retirement Home.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Richard Francis officiating. Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery in Kingsley. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m., and a prayer service at 6 p.m., at Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Helen was born July 3, 1926 in Paullina, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Jessie (Bosworth) Brown. She graduated from Cherokee High School in 1946. In 1970 she graduated from Western Iowa Tech Nursing School.

She married Willard Moser on May 22, 1958 in Luverne, Minn. After their marriage, they lived in the Kingsley area. Helen worked as a nurse for three years at the Kingsley Nursing Home and then at Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City for 28 years. Her husband, Willard, died Feb. 11, 1975.

Helen enjoyed crocheting, reading, listening to country music and devoted her life to helping others.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessianne Kunkel and her husband, Ed, of Sergeant Bluff; a son, Steve Moser and his wife, Karen, of Laurel, Md.; a stepdaughter, Audrey Hansel and her husband, Frank, of Springdale, Ark.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Brown of Atwater, Minn. and Bob Brown of Germantown, Wis.; and a very special daughter-like friend, Cheri Farrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard; a daughter, Carol; two sons, Charles and James; a stepson, Don Moser; four sisters, Margaret, Eva, Lucy and Mary; and three brothers, Ralph, Edward and William.
