PLACE OF BIRTH: …in rural Ashton, Iowa
PARENTS: Clemence and Susan (Wingen) Kolbeck
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 1st MARRIAGE: Dominic Weiler, Aug. 21, 1917, Remsen, Iowa
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE: ---
OCCUPATION: At age 14 she moved with her parents to the Remsen area. After their marriage, the couple farmed at Wilmont, Minn., for two years and then near Ashton until 1931. They moved to the Remsen area in 1931 and farmed until January 1961, when they retired and moved into Remsen. He died Dec. 22, 1977. She had been a resident of the nursing home since Dec. 28, 1988.
MEMBER OF: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, and Catholic Daughters of America
SURVIVORS: …include four daughters, Rosella and her husband, Ralph Mueller of Council Bluffs, and Valeria and her husband, Dominic Schroeder, Mrs. Floyd (Verna) Harvey and Ladonna and her husband, Carel Connor, all of Remsen; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Gilbert (Therry) Weiler and Mrs. Marvin (Octavia) Weiler , both of Remsen; 52 grandchildren; 147 great grandchildren; 28 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lou (Caroline) Seivert of Sibley.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …two sons, Gilbert and Marvin; two grandsons; two great grandchildren; a great great-grandson; a brother, Frank Kolbeck; and three sisters, Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Seivert, Mrs. Herman (Anna) Hatting and Mrs. Fred (Josephine) Gaul.
