Leona Witt, 95, died Saturday, June 10, at the Hillcrest Health Care Center.

Services were at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Loren Vogler officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Witt was born July 6, 1904, near Merrill, the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Jans) Utesch. She married Walter William Herman Witt on February 24, 1925 near Akron. They farmed southeast of Hawarden. He died January 18, 1978.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, flowers and her cats.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Donald and Margaret of Hawarden; a daughter, Lou Ann Baker of Denver; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer “Cap” and Frank Utesch
