Norbert F. Wurth, 85, of Omaha, formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in Kansas City, Mo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Omaha. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Omaha.
Mr. Wurth was born June 3, 1914, in Oyens, Iowa. He lived in Elkton, S.D.. for 10 years and moved to Omaha in 1935. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps Reserves from 1942 to 1945.
He married Madelyn T. Sullivan in 1942. They lived in Mason City. Iowa, Sioux City and Omaha. He worked for Cook Paint Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1979.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ellen Wurth and Tom Johns of Leawood, Kan. and Janet Buffington of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons and their wives, James and Kathy of Berthoud, Colo., and Mark and Pat of Omaha; a brother Edward of Omaha; a sister, Connie Aitkenhead of Hayfield, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, five brothers and a sister.
Memorials may be directed to Heelan High School in Sioux City or the Nebraska Chapter of Alzheimer's Association.
