OCCUPATION: She was raised in the Maryhill area and received her education at Visitation Catholic School at Maryhill. Prior to her marriage, she worked for Dr. Wise at Cherokee. The couple farmed near Remsen, Iowa, until 1982, when they retired and moved into Remsen.

SURVIVORS: …include her husband; four daughters and their husbands, Carol and David Carey of Cherokee, JoAnn and Joe Block of LeMars, Anita and Jiggs Jorgensen of Spencer, and Donna and Tim Kelley of Remsen; two sons and their wives, Bill and Joanie Tentinger of LeMars and Jim and Sharon Tentinger of Remsen; 24 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Bob (Margaret Ann) George of Cherokee.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …her parents; a granddaughter, Lucille Fay Kelley; a sister, Mrs. Floyd (Hilda C.) Reinert; and two brothers, Joseph J. and Harold B. Henke.
