KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Michael Seuntjens, 62, of Kingsley died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley, with the Rev. Thomas J. Topf officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Kingsley. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today, with family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a Scriptural prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at Earnest-Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley.
Michael Bernard Seuntjens was born Feb. 25, 1940, in Kingsley, the son of John and Kathryn (Streck) Seuntjens. He was raised and educated in the Kingsley area, graduating from Kingsley High School in 1958. Following his education, he served his country in the Army National Guard.
On Nov. 25, 1961, he married Alice Loutsch at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen, Iowa. They made their home in Kingsley. He worked briefly for Clark's Hardware before he began farming.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Jeff and Geraldine Lee of Singapore, and Jerry and Shari of Kingsley; two daughters and their husbands, Jacque and Rick Saltness of Rochester, Minn., and Julie and Kevin Keane of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan and Renee Saltness, Joseph and John Paul Keane, and Sarah Seuntjens; two sisters and their husbands, Arlene and Bill Bird of Marcus, Iowa, and Dorothy and Tom O'Keefe of Kingsley; and three brothers and their wives, Robert and Doris of Kingsley, Jim and Carol of Ocala, Fla., and Tom and Alice of Wayzata, Minn.
