MRS. MARY BAUERLY CLAIMED BY DEATH

Mrs. Mary Bauerly, a pioneer resident of the county, died last week Wednesday night at her home in Merrill. Mrs. Bauerly was born in October 1859 and came to this county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simeon, in 1865, when she was 6 years old. At the age of 16 years she was married to Jacob J. Bauerly, who died in 1926. The following children born to this marriage survive their mother: five sons, Henry, Joe, John, and Will of Merrill, and Jacob of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Mona Miller of Merrill, and Mrs. John Sauer of LeMars.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Catholic church in Merrill, Rev. Father McKenna officiating. Interment was in Ellendale beside the body of her husband.

Mrs. Bauerly was one of the older residents of this county and widely known and esteemed.
