Mrs. Frances Mae Crotty, 82, of Leeds, died Tuesday in a hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Crotty was born January 8, 1871, east of Hinton. She and her husband John, who died in 1928, lived on a farm near Hinton and moved to Sioux City in 1900.

She was a member of Wesley Methodist church.

Survivors include a son, Ed Crotty, of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
