Funeral services for William F. Baack, 74, long time resident of Plymouth County who died Tuesday, Nov. 23, in a LeMars hospital was held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John American Lutheran Church, LeMars, with Rev. L.L. Belk officiating. Burial was in the city cemetery at LeMars.
Mr. Baack was born November 12, 1880, in Clayton County, Iowa, and came to this county at the age of 8 with his parents. He served as postmaster at Struble and operated a drug store there. Later he farmed several years near LeMars before moving to that town in 1930.
He married Olivia Kaiser July 20, 1909, at Maurice. She died in 1945.
Survivors include five daughters, including Mrs. Steven Carel of Hinton, 25 grandchildren, and a brother, Henry Baack, of Howard, S.D.
