MONTE CASS DIES AFTER 5 WEEKS ILLNESS

Monte A. Cass, Sr., 76, well known LeMars realtor, died Wednesday at a LeMars hospital after an illness of five weeks.

Mr. Cass was born October 26, 1875, at Burford, England, and came to the United States in 1894. He married Miss Jane Duncan May 15, 1898, at Sioux Falls. The couple lived at Pipestone, Minn., before locating in LeMars in 1911.

Mr. Cass was active in business, civic and fraternal circles until his recent illness.

Surviving are the widow; a son, Monte Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Hale Parker; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 Saturday forenoon at the Mauer funeral home at LeMars, and burial was in the city cemetery.
