FORMER AUDITOR OF PLYMOUTH COUNTY DIES; RITES FRIDAY

LE MARS, Iowa—Frank Stamp, 86, of LeMars, died Jan. 28, at his home of an apparent heart attack. Services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 1, in the Mauer Funeral Home. The Rev. Everett Staats will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery. Masonic rites will be conducted the evening of Jan. 31, at Mauer Funeral Home.

Mr. Stamp was born Nov. 20, 1887, at Verdon, Neb. He came to LeMars in 1918 and was county auditor for a number of years, and later was LeMars City Clerk for several years. He owned and operated the Stamp Grocery Store and after selling the business he was a bookkeeper for a feed and seed firm.

He married Hazel Grier Feb. 24, 1914, at Sac City. She died March 15, 1973.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wayne Brooker of Cherokee; one son, Dr. Warren of Charlottesville, Va.; and a niece, Mrs. J.A. Brooker of Osage; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Emma Wirtjes of Watertown, S.D.
