Mrs. John Miller

Mrs. John (Maggie) Miller, 81, LeMars, died Sunday (Sept. 10, 1972) at Floyd Valley Hospital after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. John Turza officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home.

The former Maggie Russell, she was born Sept. 14, 1890, in LeMars, a daughter of the late James and Ann (Tierman) Russell.

She married John Miller Oct. 26, 1915, at Ellendale. The couple moved to LeMars in 1951 after retiring from the farm.

Mrs. Miller was a member of St. James Catholic church and the Altar society.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors are her husband, John of LeMars; a son, Francis of LeMars; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Agnes) Utecht of LeMars and Mrs. Lowell (Margaret) Utesch of Worthington, Minn.; a sister, Minnie Russell of LeMars; two brothers, Charles of LeMars and Mike of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
