BRADLEY D. SCHULTZ
MERRILL, Iowa—Bradley D. Schultz, 22, of Plymouth, Minn., formerly of Merrill, died accidentally from a fall from a balcony while vacationing in Mazatlan, Mexico, on Tuesday, March 7, 1995.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars, Iowa, with the Rev. Larry Fett officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Merrill. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 2 to 6 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church. Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of LeMars is in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 4, 1972, in Sioux City, the son of Rona and Jeanne (Francksen) Schultz. He lived with his family in Luton, Iowa, prior to moving with his family to Merrill in 1978. He graduated from LeMars Community High School in 1990. He then attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., where he graduated in 1994 with a degree in electrical engineering. In January 1995 he moved to Plymouth, Minn., where he accepted a position with Cannon Technologies Inc., in Minneapolis as an electrical engineer.
Mr. Schultz was a member of ETA-KAPPA-NU, an engineering honor society, and received the PHI-KAPPA-PHI academic excellence award. He had been involved with 4-H in Plymouth County and was an avid sportsman, enjoyed fishing and snow and water skiing. While in college, he was active in intermural sports. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Youth Fellowship at the church.
Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Jodi and Tami Schultz of Merrill; paternal grandparents, Ivan and Blanche Schultz of Swanville, Minn.; a maternal grandmother, Margaret Francksen of Merrill; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Werner Francksen; an uncle, Larry Schultz; and an aunt, Carol Francksen.
