KAY SCHOENFELDER

WESTFIELD, Iowa—Kay Jean Schoenfelder, 44, of Westfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1995, at her home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Akron with Monsignor Gerald Lyon officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Akron. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the church, with a Scriptural prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Schoenfelder was born Sept. 9, 1950, in Akron, the daughter of John “Jack” and Amelia (Lambert) Henrich. She graduated from Akron High School in 1968. She married Ed Schoenfelder Aug. 25, 1972, in Akron. She later attended Western Iowa Tech for two years, graduating in 1987. She was head of the word processing department of Security National Bank in Sioux City, where she worked for eight years.

Mrs. Schoenfelder was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic church, where she was a member of the RCIA team.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Nick of Brookings, S.D., and Ryan “R.J.” at home; her mother, Amelia Henrich; her grandmother, Lyma Lambert of LeMars; a brother, Jim and his wife, Kay of Akron; and five sisters and their husbands, Kathleen and Art Johns of Burlington, Iowa, Charlotte and Emil Beeck, Joann and John Ziniel and Susan and Bob Brown, all of Akron, and Jackie and Don Gimberline of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Henrich.

Pallbearers will be Connie Rathgeber, Mary Kay Lagan, Bob Brown, Jim Harvey, John Ziniel and Merlyn Huls.
