MARLYS E. SUSEMIHL

MOVILLE, Iowa—Marlys E. Susemihl, 62, of Moville, died Tuesday, April 16, 1996, at Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City after a long illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville with the Rev. Michael A. Kroona officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m., at McCulloch Funeral Home, Moville.

Mrs. Susemihl was born May 15, 1933, at Kingsley, the daughter of Leonard and Martha (Hopp) Eppling. She was raised on a farm near Kingsley and graduated from Union Consolidated High School. She married Walter Susemihl June 28, 1959, in Hinton. The couple made their home in Moville. She worked 19 years in the school lunch program at Woodbury Central Schools.

Mrs. Susemihl was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was active in the Women’s Group of the church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Paul Susemihl of Omaha; a daughter, Lori and her husband Walt Snyder of Bellevue, Neb.; two step grandchildren, Caleb and Shawna Snyder; a sister, Lorna and her husband, Duane Heimgartner of Hinton, and three sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marvin and Merlin.
