ALFRED Y. EDWARDS

Funeral services for Alfred Edwards, 68, 105 ½ Plymouth St. NE, LeMars, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. Robert Hanthorn officiating.

Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

He had made his home with Mrs. Eva Conner of LeMars.

Alfred Young Edwards was born June 29, 1904, in LeMars, the son of the late Joseph and Minnie (Wise) Edwards. He died Wednesday (Nov. 8, 1972) at Floyd Valley Hospital after an illness of several months.

Mr. Edwards was a retired section employee of the Illinois Central railroad and a lifelong resident of LeMars.

He was a member of the Railroad Brotherhood.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Robert Lake, of LeMars.
