Clara Watson, 83, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, in Knoxville.

Clara was born Dec.10, 1925, in Stuart, Iowa the daughter of Homer and Christina (Anderssen) Little. Clara married Alvin Watson on June 1, 1946. Clara sold beauty supplies in Sioux City for Dickson Beauty Supply.

The couple lived in Sioux City until 1974, when the bought the Dairy Queen in Le Mars and lived there until 1981. When they retired they moved back to Sioux City. Clara then worked at Hy-Vee as a demo lady part-time.

Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Birge and her husband Phil, and Clara's four grandchildren, Noah, Elise, Nathan and Mary Birge.

She was preceded in death by parents and her husband Al who died in July 2004.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City with Msgr. Roger Augustine officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jon Foulk, Charles Kriglstein, Barry Westhoff, Noah Birge, Phil Birge, and Justin Boyd.
