Mrs. K. Bradley

Mrs. Katherine Bradley, age 70, passed away suddenly Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Adam Naryka at Sioux City, Iowa. She was staying there while recuperating from a hip operation when stricken.

Katherine Schramm Bradley was born October 29, 1888, in Odebolt, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Claire L. Bradley in 1910 and moved to LeMars shortly thereafter, where she made her home for over 50 years.

She was a faithful member of St. John’s American Lutheran Church, St. John’s Ladies Aid and St. John’s Missionary Society. Mrs. Bradley was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Gold Star Mothers Club of which she was past president. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1951, her eldest daughter, Lillian and infant son, and one son, William, who was killed in World War II. She leaves to mourn five daughters: Mrs. Carl (Lula) Schultz, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Pendle, Mrs. Adam (Dorothy) Naryka, Mrs. Bud (Irene) Ross and Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Barthole; five sons-in-law; and twenty-five grandchildren; one sister, Emma A. Hatch, Long Beach, Calif.; two brothers, August Schramm Battle Creek, Iowa, and Julius Schramm, Early, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at St. John’s American Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Mauer funeral home is in charge of burial.
