AMANDA SIEBENS DIES
IN DES MOINES NURSING
HOME; BURIAL HEREMrs. Amanda Hanke Siebens, 76, died at the Mingus Nursing home, Des Moines Tuesday, Aug. 12, after a last sickness there of several years.
Services will be held at the Mauer funeral chapel, LeMars, at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15. Rev. H.V. Bartz will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.
Mrs. Siebens was born Mar. 22, 1876, in Pocahontas county, Iowa. As a young girl she came to Plymouth County and later farmed in Elgin township. She was married to B.F. Siebens in LeMars, June 28, 1916.
Survivors include her three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Roy of Clarion, Iowa, Miss Carrie Hanke of LeMars, and Lillian Steward of Des Moines; one brother, Albert W. Hanke of Beresford, S.D.; five nieces and eight nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mrs. Edith Utech; and two brothers, Edward and George.
