MARTIN WECKER DIED SATURDAY
Martin Wecker, 58, a lifelong resident of the Melbourne community northeast of Hinton, excepting the last five years which was spent in Sioux City where he and his located in 1945, passed away Saturday in a Sioux City hospital.
Mr. Wecker was born September 14, 1892, in the community above mentioned and resided on the same farm until 1945. He was married to Eunice Schrooten at LeMars on December 23, 1913.
Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Violet Strong, a son, William, both of Sioux City; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ella Frey of Mendota, Ill.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the First Methodist church in Sioux City, of which Mr. Wecker was a member. Rev. George W. Dunn officiated and burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery.
