LE MARS, Iowa—Agatha Frances Schaap, 85, of LeMars died Friday, April 7, 1995, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church in LeMars with Monsignor Michael Sernet officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a Scriptural wake service at 8 p.m., at the Mauer-Johnson funeral home, LeMars.

Mrs. Schaap was born Feb. 25, 1910, in Granville, the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Tastove) Vanderharr. She grew up and attended school in Granville. She married Walter Schaap Feb. 10, 1942, in Merrill. The couple made their home in Merrill until 1963 when they moved to LeMars. He died Dec. 28, 1985.

Mrs. Schaap was a member of St. James Catholic Church, St. James Altar Society and Wasmer American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son and his wife, James and Linda of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother and his wife, Herman and Doris Vanderharr of Lincoln, Neb.; a sister, Rose Vanderharr, of LeMars; a granddaughter, Kristen Schaap and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

Pallbearers will be Tim Rush, John Pendergast, Frank and David Vanderharr, Mike Mathews and Don Winchester.
