FORMER RESIDENT, KATE GREER, DIES IN IRETON

Miss Kate Greer, 80, former resident of LeMars died Sunday in Austin, Minn. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Austin. Burial was in the LeMars City cemetery Wednesday noon.

Kate Greer was born in 1872 in LeMars, daughter of the late, Mr. and Mrs. N.L. Greer. Her father was an elevator manager and at one time served as Mayor of LeMars.

She attended school in LeMars and taught in the LeMars public school for many years before moving to Austin 30 years ago. She continued her teaching career until three years ago when she retired. Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
