WAS FORMER WELL KNOWN LE MARS BUSINESS MAN

Geo. E. Pew received a telegram yesterday informing him of the death of his brother, Frank Pew, which occurred on Saturday at a hospital in Valley City, N.D. His death was caused by paralysis of the throat. Mr. Pew was taken to the hospital at Valley City from his home in Mott, N.D., some weeks ago for treatment.

Frank Pew was well known in Le Mars, where he lived for many years and was engaged in the hardware and machinery business with his brothers, Geo. E. Pew and Michael Pew. Since leaving Le Mars he has lived in North Dakota and was engaged in the grain business at various points. He was born at Oshkosh, Wis., 57 years ago and was a member of a large family. He was twice married, his first wife being Miss Maggie Minnaugh, of this place, who died soon after their marriage. He was subsequently married to Mrs. Donavan, nee Mary Byrne, also of this city. Besides his wife and two children he leaves a large number of relatives to mourn his death.

Frank Pew had many friends in Le Mars and while a resident here had a large circle of acquaintances among whom he was very popular.

The funeral will be held at Mott, N.D. today.
