TOVY-At his home northeast of this city, at noon, Tuesday, September 6th of rheumatism and bowel complaint, John Tovey, aged 55 years.

Mr. Tovey was at one time a member of the Iron brigade, of Michigan, and served his time in the war of ’64. He was an old settler in Plymouth County, having lived here before the Illinois Central Railroad was built to Le Mars. He kept a boarding tent for the hands who worked on the grade when the road was built. The funeral took place yesterday from the St. James Church, in this city.
