OCCUPATION: He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954, stationed in Fort McClellan, Ala. The couple farmed in the Union County area until moving to Akron, Iowa, in 1987. He was then employed with Higman Sand and Gravel for 10 years.
SURVIVORS: …include his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Marsha and Roger McGraw and Marlene and Robert Gries, all of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Myron and Michelle of LeMars, Iowa; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …his parents; a brother, Orville; and two sisters, Vera Peterson and Lorene Hinrichs.
