Mrs. Albert (Grace) Null, 86, Plymouth county native and lifelong resident, died Monday (March 30, 1981) at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars after a brief illness.
She entered the hospital a week ago. Mrs. Null lived at 531 1st Ave. S.W.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist church in Le Mars. Rev. Edward Philips will officiate and burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars.
A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert, who died Aug. 1976; two sons, Richard and Delbert, five sisters and two brothers.
Grace Estelle McDougall was born April 19, 1894, near Struble to Alexander and Katherine Noble McDougall. She married Albert E. Null Feb. 5, 1913, in Seney.
She and her late husband at one time owned a Marshall-Wells variety store in Le Mars. She retired after working many years with the B and B store in Le Mars. She had been a Le Mars resident her entire life.
She was a member of Calvary church, was a longtime head of the communion committee and active in church affairs.
Survivors are a son, Russell Null, Early; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marian) Thunhorst, St. Paul; Mrs. Bill (Ruby) Lamb, Alexandria, Va.; Mrs. William (Alberta) Hodam, Des Moines; Mrs. Harold (Gracie) Ruden, Le Mars, and Mrs. Richard (Jeanne) Vogt, Aurelia. There are 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A brother Judson McDougall, Le Mars also survives.
