Kasper Feuerhelm, 68, Merrill, a Plymouth County native and lifelong resident, died unexpectedly Saturday (Nov. 5, 1988) at Sioux City Marian Health Center. He suffered an apparent heart attack.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Merrill United Methodist Church with Rev. Shirley Textor officiating. Burial will be in the Le Mars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Feuerhelm was born Feb. 24, 1920, in Plymouth County to Solomon and Berta Draheim Feuerhelm. He was a farmer and was never married. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and attended Merrill United Methodist Church.

Survivors are two brothers, Lloyd and John Feuerhelm, both of rural Merrill; a sister-in-law, Grace Feuerhelm; a nephew, Alan Feuerhelm; and a niece Carolyn Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William in 1987.
