Memorial services for Mildred Z. Clarke, 85, Minneapolis, formerly of Le Mars, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. George Episcopal Church in Le Mars.
Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Rev. David Titus will officiate.
Miss Clarke died Dec. 12, 1986, at Minneapolis. She was a retired math teacher.
She was born Jan. 9, 1901, in Le Mars to George A.C. and Stella Perkins Clarke. She graduated from Le Mars schools in 1919, and from the University of Minnesota in 1923.
She taught school in Wisconsin before going to Minneapolis where she was a math teacher for many years. She taught math to military personnel during World War II for two years.
She was active in St. George Episcopal Church while in Le Mars and at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Minneapolis. After her retirement, she visited Le Mars often and traveled extensively. Her last years were spent in a Minneapolis retirement home.
Survivors are nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Margaret and two brothers, Gerald and Cecil Clarke.
