MRS. T. E. COLE

Mrs. Anna Cole, wife of Dr. T. E. Cole, died at her home, 226 First Avenue SE., LeMars, Friday, December 22, after a protracted illness.

Anna Smith was born August 25, 1865, at Huron, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Smith. On October 22, 1890, she was married to Dr. T.E. Cole, and they have spent most of their married life in LeMars where Mrs. Cole was active in church, civic, and social circles. She is survived by her husband, a pioneer LeMars physician, one brother, Austin Smith, of Toledo, Ohio, three nieces and a nephew. Her parents and one sister, Mrs. George Collingwood, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Cole was a member of the P.E.O., St. George’s Guild, and the Friday Club and active in all these organizations.

Funeral services will be held at the Wiltgen Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 26, at 2 p.m. with Rev. J.D. Salter of the Episcopal church in charge and burial will be in LeMars City Cemetery.
