Angeline Marie Grady, 91, of Alton, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City.

Angeline Marie Grady was born Dec. 17, 1916, at Wein, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Mary (Bixemann) Reichle. Angeline was raised and educated in the Wein area and moved with her family to the Granville, Iowa, area in 1935. On May 5, 1942, she married Anthony "Tony" Grady at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville. They made their home in Hospers for one year, then moved to the home farm near Granville where they were engaged in farming. In 1961 they moved to near Alton, to farm and moved into Alton in 1964. Over the years Angie worked in the hot lunch program at St. Mary Catholic School in Alton and also cleaned homes in the area.

Tony died Nov. 17, 2000. In 2001 she moved to Pioneer Memorial Home in Orange City and had been a resident of the Heritage House Nursing Home since Sept. 12, 2003.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Alton, church Guild and St. Mary Rosary Society.

Survivors include six sons, Ron of Alton, Philip A. of Spencer, Dave and his wife Mary Ann of New Vienna, Steve and his wife Junell of Archer, Francis and his wife Sandi of Lafayette, Colo., Marv of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; three daughters and their husbands, Marg and Ron Roder of Le Mars, Patty Grady and Larry Zawadzki of Swartz Creek, Mich., and Barb and Bob Matson of Millard, Neb.; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine and her husband Clarence Pohlen of Hospers, and Bertha Full of Canby, Minn.; one stepbrother, Robert and his wife Lorraine Fischer of Granville; three stepsisters, Irene and her husband Gerald Meylor of Marcus, Florence Pottebaum of Alton, and Lorraine Becker of Granville; three sisters-in-law, Marcella Reichle of Orange City, Inez Reichle of Alton, and Mathilda Reichle of Princeton, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, Lawrence and Harold Reichle; one sister, Dee and her husband Al Alsup; one stepbrother, Clarence Fischer; one stepsister, Lillian and her husband Melvin Von Arb; one brother-in-law, Ray Full; and two stepbrother-in-laws, Ferd Pottebaum and Lloyd Becker.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Alton with the Rev. Paul Eisele officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Alton.

Friends may call anytime after 4 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a rosary at 5 p.m. by St. Mary Rosary Society and St. Mary Guild and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at St. Mary Catholic Church in Alton. The Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen is in charge of arrangements.

Casketbearers will be Terry and Jeff Roder, Shane, Casey and Jesse Grady and Gabriel Zawadzki.
