MARGARET AHERN

Miss Margaret Ahern, 75, Merrill, retired Plymouth County school teacher, died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital. Miss Ahern taught school in Plymouth County for 25 years before she retired 10 years ago.

She resided in Sioux City for 35 years and moved to Merrill five years ago.

She was born on May 5, 1881, in Plymouth County.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 9 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic church in Sioux City. Rev. Newman Flanagan officiated and burial was in the Calvary Cemetery. The Larkin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A number from here attended funeral services for Miss Margaret Ahern, 75, on Wednesday morning. Miss Ahern died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital. She had been hospitalized since a fall from the basement stairs in her home near Ellendale, a few weeks ago. Miss Ahern taught school here a number of years prior to 1920. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
