WILLIAM KLAAS DIED SATURDAY

Frederick William Klaas, 86, died Saturday at a Cherokee hospital. He was born at Pekin, Ill., May 26, 1865. Mr. Klaas was a resident of Hinton for a long time, having operated the pool hall and for a number of years he operated a coffee shop here. After leaving Hinton, he returned to Sioux City where he made his home. Mr. Klaas lived in Sioux City before locating here, and also had lived at a number of other Iowa towns including: Webster City, Williams, and Petersen.

Survivors include a son, William R. of Sioux City; and a sister, Mrs. _ A. Croverseir of Webster City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Perasso funeral home in Sioux City Wednesday forenoon at 10 o’clock with Rev. George Dunn officiating. Burial was in the Hungerford township cemetery, east of Hinton.
