OCCUPATION: Mr. Puttmann received his bachelor of science degree from Iowa State College in 1954 and taught agriculture at Stanhope, Iowa, from 1954 to 1955. He served as a 1st Lt. in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. After serving in the military, he started farming and formed a farming partnership with Joe Hlas in 1988.
SURVIVORS: … include his wife, Sally; two daughters and their husbands, Sandy and Matt Salmon of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Kay and Brian Michaelson of LeMars, Iowa; five grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Wayne and Harriett of Eau Claire, Wis., and nieces and nephews.
