KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Viola F. Kramer, 86, of Kingsley died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Kingsley, with the Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m., at Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley.
Viola was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Kingsley, the daughter of William and Sarah (Rice) Schweitzberger. She grew up in the Kingsley area.
On Jan. 19, 1938, she married Melvin E. Kramer in Le Mars, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Kingsley. For many years, she provided day-care for young children. Melvin passed away April 11, 1997. She continued to live at home until entering the Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center in April 2000.
She is survived by a son, Duane Kramer of Kingsley; three sisters, Fern Johnson of Perry, Iowa, Marvel and her husband, Roy Nagel of Sequim, Wash., and Violet Keller of California City, Calif.; two brothers, Ralph Schweitzberger and Kenneth Schweitzberger and his wife, Minnetta, all of Kingsley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Walter, Harold, Francis and Ernie; and a sister, Pearl Nagel.~Sioux City Journal of 01 September 2005
