KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Francis N. "Mick" Henrich, 72, of Kingsley died unexpectedly Thursday, July 21, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with the rosary at 4 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m., at Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Francis Nicholaus Henrich was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Alton, Iowa, the son of Nicholaus and Matilda (Kellen) Henrich. He attended Alton High School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He married Catherine Smidt on Nov. 10, 1956, in Alton. After their marriage, the couple lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, until 1963. During that time, he worked at Campbell Soup Company and Cargill in Omaha. In 1963, they moved to Pierson, Iowa, where they started Henrich Septic Service. In 1968, he added the portable toilet service. In 1971, with fiberglass portable toilets, they changed their business to Spot-A-Pot, which they have owned and operated since that time.

He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, American Legion Nash Post 140 and Future Farmer's of America.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine "Kate" Henrich of Kingsley; four sons and their wives, Mike and Rollie Henrich of Kingsley, Todd and Julie Henrich of Pierson, Pat and Nora Henrich of Kingsley, and Doug and Amy Henrich of Kingsley; a daughter, Shari Razo of Fort Worth, Texas; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Kellen of Orange City, Iowa, and Anita Steine of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother-in-law and his wife, Richard and Carolyn Smidt of Primghar, Iowa; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Joyce and Derwood Heine of Bremer, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholaus and Matilda Henrich; a grandson, Kyle Henrich; a brother, Leo Henrich; a sister-in-law, Luella Henrich; and a brother-in-law, Vic Kellen.
