OCCUPATION: He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Houtz Foods as a traveling salesman for several years and then served as traffic manager for Hirschbach Trucking for 36 years, retiring at age 70 in 1986.
SURVIVORS: …by his wife; a son, James and his wife, Deanne of Darien, Conn.; a daughter Katherine and her husband, Jeff Montgomery of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Helen Hoffman of Merrill, Iowa; four grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …two sisters, Ruth Lamoureux and Wilma Trienan, and a brother, Lowell Marbach.
