PLACE OF DEATH: …at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center, LeMars, Iowa
DATE OF BIRTH: July 5, 1908
PLACE OF BIRTH: Oyens, Iowa
PARENTS: Charles and Lena (Ruden) Masuen
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 1st MARRIAGE: Marvel Bechtel in Wisconsin. She died in 1982.
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE:
OCCUPATION: At age 18, he started selling life insurance and continued for several years. He discovered a new latex bandage in 1932, which he sold from town to town throughout the Midwest. He entered the U.S. Army April 20, 1942, and after returning from the service, he opened a mail order medical supply business in LeMars. In 1960 he opened a branch office in Los Angeles. He shipped medical supplies to 50 states and more than 20 countries. He sold his business in 1985.
SURVIVORS: …include a daughter, Cindy Crowley and her husband, Mark of LeMars; a stepson, Patrick McGranahan of Omaha; two granddaughters; a step grandson; three brothers, Ray, Dick and his wife, Celeste, and Bud Masuen, all of LeMars; two sisters, Delores Heissel and her husband, Bill, and Marita Shearon all of LeMars.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: ..a brother, Lawrence; three sisters, Florence Masuen, Mrs. Ray (Virginia) Schroeder and Mrs. Dale (Lorraine) Beckel, and two stepsons, Michael and Thomas McGranahan.
