MOVILLE, Iowa -- Lenore Everhart, 96, of Moville died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center in Kingsley, Iowa.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Moville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harold E. Werley officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.

Lenore Everhart was born on Easter Sunday, April 19, 1908, in Galva, Iowa. Her parents were William and Lucile (Lank) Gustine. They moved to Moville when Lenore was six months old, and she resided in Moville her entire life. Lenore attended the University of South Dakota and Morningside College. She taught for two years in a country school and in Kingsley, Iowa.

She married Miller A. Everhart on Sept. 28, 1928. They had two sons, Larry and Neal. Miller passed away in 1977. Neal passed away in October of 2003.

Lenore was a lifelong member of the Moville United Methodist Church, president of the Moville Women's Club and member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs. She was an avid antique doll collector with over 300 dolls from around the world in her collection. She took part in many community and Senior Center activities, delivered Meals on Wheels, played the organ for countless weddings and funerals and was church organist for 24 years. She was a world traveler, visiting 29 foreign countries and all 50 states. Lenore was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Larry and his wife; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Larry and Dianne Everhart of Moville; a daughter-in-law, Mary Everhart, of Moville; six grandchildren, Sally and Jason Selby of Kansas City, Mo., Sue and Jared Sauer of Forreston, Ill., Deb Everhart and Martin Irvine of Washington, D.C., Robert and Cynthia Everhart of Madison, Wis., Mark Everhart of Glenwood Springs, Colo. and Michelle and John Walsh of Lincoln, Neb.; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Sauer, Jacob Walsh, Michael Walsh, Matthew Walsh and Grace Everhart; and two sisters-in-law, Gwen Gustine and Helen Gustine.

Lenore was preceded in death by a son, Neal Everhart, her husband, Miller Everhart, her father and mother, William and Lucile Gustine; two brothers, Glenn Gustine and Clarence Gustine; and a very special friend of 96 years, Francis Case Huff.
