OCCUPATION: He served his country during World War II with the Work Projects Administration, where he learned painting and carpentry. Following his return to the Kingsley area, he became a general contractor doing construction and painting. He also was a land developer and built many houses in Kingsley and surrounding areas.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; six sons and their wives, Don and Twila of Brandon, S.D., Terry and Deborah of Tucson, Ariz., Ken and Doneen, Mark and Barb, and Kevin and Shari, all of Kingsley, and Blaine and LuAnne of Spirit Lake, Iowa; two daughters, Deb and her husband Lowell Chinn and LuAnne Ruba, all of Kingsley; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, Russell and Keith in Montana, Berneil “Buck” and Carol of Arizona, and Gaylen and Wanda of Omaha; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Kuchel of Mechanicsville, Iowa.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: two brothers; two sisters; and a daughter-in-law
