OCCUPATION: Prior to moving to Sarasota in 1989, he taught music in Graettinger, Cedar Rapids, and Dubuque, Iowa, schools. He was the minister of music for the Siesta Key Chapel in Sarasota.
SURVIVORS: by his parents; two sisters and their husbands, Carol and Carl Anderson and Gail and Dean Palmer, all of LeMars; a brother and his wife, Thomas and Julie Koopman of Orange City, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: his grandparents, Al and Kathryn Koopman, and Dan and Nell Kuecker.
PLACE of BURIAL: St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Maurice, Iowa
