JOYCE BALDWIN DEAD AT 52

Joyce Marjorie Baldwin, 52, Merrill, longtime area resident, died Tuesday (Feb. 22, 1983) at Marian Health Center, Sioux City, after an illness of 2 ½ weeks.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Adaville United Methodist Church, rural Merrill. Rev. Donald Bardole will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, rural Merrill, under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home in LeMars. A prayer service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joyce Rollins was born July 17, 1930, in Woodbury County to Alva and Myra Donlin Rollins. She lived there until 1948 and has since lived in Plymouth County near Merrill and Akron.

Her marriage to Lowell Baldwin took place Jan. 12, 1949, at Adaville United Methodist Church, rural Merrill.

She was a member of Adaville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and a 4-H youth group.

Survivors are her husband, Lowell, Merrill; two sons, Dennis and Douglas, both of Merrill, and a daughter, Mrs. Bradley (Cheryle) Herman, Indian Shores, Fla.; one grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Colin Collman, Ireton; five brothers, Lester Rollins, LeMars; Frank and John Rollins, both of Akron; Harold and Paul Rollins, both of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
