MRS. HARLAN GRUBB

Mrs. Harlan Grubb, 57, longtime rural Kingsley resident, died unexpectedly Tuesday (Sept. 16, 1980) at her farm home north of Kingsley.

Dorothy Beelner was born Oct. 14, 1922, at Remsen to Joseph and Mary Gehrens Beelner. After her marriage June 24, 1941, at Kingsley to Harlan Grubb, she lived north of Kingsley.

She graduated from St. Mary’s school at Remsen and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, the church guild and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s church with Rev. Gerald Fisch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Michaelson funeral home in Kingsley.

The CDA rosary will be at 4 p.m. Thursday and the parish rosary at 8 p.m. both at the Michaelson funeral home.

Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Donna) Beeck of LeMars; Mrs. Cary (Elaine) Schoep, Denison; Mrs. Jerry (Lynne) Ruba, Remsen; three sons, Jack, Minneapolis; Ronald, Sioux City; and John Kingsley; two brothers, Don of Kingsley and Marcel, Park Rapids, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Martha) Lenz, Paullina and Mrs. Laurence (Mary Ann) Overman, Vallejo, Calif.
