Obituary
Leonard Collins

Funeral services for Leonard Collins, 73, retired LeMars businessman, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Collins was the operator of a well-drilling rig here for many years.

He died Thursday (Feb. 26, 1976) at Floyd Valley Hospital after a brief illness. He entered the hospital Monday evening.

Mr. Collins was born Nov. 12, 1902, in Milo, N.D., to Charles and Eva Sach Collins. He lived most of his life in LeMars. His marriage to Nellie Taylor took place in Canada. She preceded him in death in 1965.

Mr. Collins was a member of the LeMars Eagle Club.

He is survived by a brother, Charles of Drumheller, Alberta, Canada; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Beatty) Paul, Milford, Saskatchewan, Canada; Mrs. Florence McNabe, Edmondton, Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Ruth Turcotte, Haney, BC, Canada. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins in this area.
