WILLIAM HENNRICH
Funeral services for William E. Hennrich, 201 3rd Ave. S.E., LeMars were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, at the First Presbyterian church in LeMars. Rev. Allen Bowe officiated. Burial was in the LeMars City Cemetery with Mauer’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
William E. Hennrich was born on November 20, 1874, in Sioux County, Iowa. On December 4, 1895, he was united in marriage with Bertha Detloff in LeMars, Iowa. They lived in Centerville, S.D., until 1903, when they moved to a farm near Seney, later moving into Seney. They have made their home in LeMars since 1936, where Mr. Hennrich was employed as a salesman for the Hansen Hardware Company. He passed away Monday, Jan. 5, at the Sacred Heart hospital after a sickness of about fourteen days. The deceased reached the age of 78 years, 1 month, and 15 days.
Pallbearers were: Merle Truesdale, George Wolbers, John Calkhoven, Art Hansen, Franklin Wilhelmi, Wayne Schipper.
Survivors include two brothers, Otto of Denver, Colorado and Carl of Gregory, S.D.; four sisters, Mrs. Linda Kluter, of Ireton, Ia., Mrs. Minnie Knowlton, of Iowa City, Ia., Mrs. Bertha Pederson of Centerville, S.D., Emma Renken of Huntington Park, Calif.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and his wife who passed away in 1946.
Relatives from a distance here for the funeral were: Mrs. Linda Kluter of Ireton; Mr. and Mrs. P.M. Pederson of Centerville, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hennrich of Gregory, S.D.
